Australian Jamboree, Maryborough hosts 10,000 Scouts

Group officially started: 9 March 1945 On Royal Parade in St Johns Wood at the Granite House hall and then in 1946 at "the igloo"
1958: group moved to old quarry site. (Where we are now). Built Wirra Birra Den (steel shed) and then Senior Scout den (washed away in 1974 flood) and Rover den (now leaders store, part of Wirra Birra den).
1975: new high set den built.
1981: lower level of high set den built in as Rover den
2015: Q Store added to end of Rover den.
2025: Wirra Birra den extensively renovated as the old roof had waterfalls gushing internally.
