Hall hire

Hall hire is available to the public and Scouts.  The location is a scenic park next to Enoggera Creek with a beautiful treed outlook in Ashgrove West. Grounds are also available for hire for jumping castles, etc, and hirers can access the toilets and the downstairs "den" as a wet weather backup.

Not permitted: parties for ages 15-30, weddings. Active sports such as dance and martial arts.

The hall has a wooden floor about 80m2 main room size with 2.7 m high ceiling. No kitchenette during the renovation. Two toilets (outside the room, shared with other users). Access is up a flight of stairs. Public car park on site with 18 car parks which is mostly empty during the day. A good bus service runs outside the hall, and there is a set of shops 5 minutes walk away with a range of cuisine including a cafe/bakery (Banneton), Chinese and Red Rooster/pizza.

Size/capacity: 80m2 hall; typical 40 people capacity.

Hirers need to leave the hall clean and tidy, rubbish taken off-site, and any touched areas disinfected. Scouts supply cleaning materials. A detailed list is provided after hiring.

No kitchenette at the moment. 

Public Liability insurance is required as per the Standard hire form. Scouts and Scout families have different conditions/requirements/hire rates - please contact us. The insurance certificate must be in the name of the hirer. PL insurance certificate is commonly available from homeowners via their home insurance.

Contents: hall has tables (4 x 1.5 meter and 1 x 2.4 meter and another 1.5 meter used currently for kitchen will be available if needed), chairs (25, plus bench seating full length of both sides), cups/mugs, teaspoons, kettle, microwave, cleaning supplies.

One off hires can return the next day to clean-up, subject to hall availability.
