Wonargo Scout Review features five SJW Scouts

Wonargo, from 28-30 Oct at Mueller college, is a scout review with singing, dancing and skits, featuring five of our Scouts in the cast. Book now.

New den

Council decided to lease the bowls club to the neighbouring rugby club, and I understand they will use it for four years whilst their new, Queensland government funded clubhouse is built and then return it to the council. The green(s) will become a carpark. Consequently the plan to build a new building on site is reactivated and proceeding full steam.

The critical deadline in project is BCC grant, 200k$, due 21 Feb 2022.

Venturer den upstairs renovation

Upstairs den floor is looking good and is nearing completion with floor sand and recoat, and most painting done this term. Next: toilet partitions; repair bench seats; install trims and whiteboards. Decide on kitchen layout. Downstairs, the Rover Scouts are replacing their kitchen and other maintenance work.

Asking everyone to remove shoes before entering Venturer den/toilets till group night, week 3, 22 Oct. Asking Venturers to meet outside for first two weeks.
